Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth! Psalm 46:10 NKJV

 

Did I / we forget who God is? Did I / we become so caught up in the cares of this world that we forgot that God can?

We are to busy: our eyes are everywhere, our thoughts are about everything, and our actions are going everyplace. Perhaps we have become a nation of to many goals, perhaps it is time to go back to basics. I write ‘perhaps’ when actually I know that we should/ I should.

In answer to all of our problems God said: “Be still.” In other words He is saying stop what you are doing and remember that He is God, always has been always will be. Furthermore God said: “I will be,” there are if and or buts about it. There is not a country on this planet that will not acknowledge Him. PERIOD!!!

Meditate on that for awhile as you think about what is going on in the United States of America and around the world. Don’t get mad remember God.

BUT! This is also appropriate for what is going on in your own life. The foolishness you have been putting up with on your job. The stuff that your children are doing that you did not raise them to do. Even the problems within your marriage. Just stop and remember that you are a child of the Most High God. Praise Him instead of your problems- exalt Him and you will not have to do so much.
