JOHN 3:16-17 KING JAMES VERSION
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
I am affiliated with 2 churches, one is a non-denominational Bible believing Jesus loving ministry and the other is non-denominational Hebraic-Roots ministry. In addition, I study the word of God independent of man and have been a Believer since the age of 9 and a Seeker since the age of 30; I was a Christian by the worlds standards since age 9 but I did not know the difference between God’s word and man’s traditions.
John 3:16 was probably the first Bible verse that ever resonated in my soul: “For God expressed His love for the world in this way: He gave His only Son so that whoever believes in Him will not face everlasting destruction, but will have everlasting life.” (The Voice Translation) It is this verse that has formed my Christmas celebration ideology.
I appreciate the fact that December 25th is not the day of our Lord’s birth. I appreciate the fact that gift giving has become commercialized. I appreciate the fact that the Christmas season is a time of stress or offense to some. I know I am not a pagan. to continue reading click DECEMBER 25
