Christian writers are not perfect not even the best selling ones, none of us are without flaws. I suspect, many writers don’t write because of the strong possibility of rejection, we have to expect rejection and treat it as either constructive criticism or nonconstructive criticism – deciding which is which using wisdom.
James 1:5 (KJV)
If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.
Writers who believe in the only begotten Son of God seek His wisdom in the words they write. They should learn not to depend on man’s opinion for validation, unless they are writing to please man. It is when we are moved by other people’s opinions that criticism and rejection tarnish the words we write. It is important for a Believing writer to seek the approval, or disapproval, of the Holy Spirit.
1 Thessalonians 2:4-6 (KJV)
4 But as we were allowed of God to be put in trust with the gospel, even so we speak; not as pleasing men, but God, which trieth our hearts.
5 For neither at any time used we flattering words, as ye know, nor a cloke of covetousness; God is witness:
6 Nor of men sought we glory, neither of you, nor yet of others, when we might have been burdensome, as the apostles of Christ.
As a writer my audience is Jesus and the heavenly beings who report to God daily. I believe our words are presented to God the Father, all of them both spoken and written.
Matthew 12:35-37 (KJV)
35 A good man out of the good treasure of the heart bringeth forth good things: and an evil man out of the evil treasure bringeth forth evil things.
36 But I say unto you, That EVERY IDLE WORD THAT MEN SHALL SPEAK, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment.
37 For BY THEY WORDS THOU SHALT be justified, and BY THY WORDS thou shalt be condemned.

Revelation 8:2-4 (KJV)
2 And I saw the seven angels which stood before God; and to them were given seven trumpets.
3 And another angel came and stood at the altar, having a golden censer; and there was given unto him much incense, that he should offer it with the prayers of all saints upon the golden altar which was before the throne.
4 And the smoke of the incense, which came with the prayers of the saints, ascended up before God out of the angel’s hand.
Words are important and the words of a person representing himself or herself as a Christian Writer will be judged. The opinions of man are insignificant compared to the judgments of God. It is our words that he will justify or condemn us. Yet, we write according to our level of understanding.
Luke 1:1-4 (KJV)
1 Forasmuch as many have taken in hand to set forth in order a declaration of those things which are most surely believed among us,
2 Even as they delivered them unto us, which from the beginning were eyewitnesses, and ministers of the word;
3 It seemed good to me also, having had perfect understanding of all things from the very first, to write unto thee in order, most excellent Theophilus,
4 That thou mightest know the certainty of those things, wherein thou hast been instructed.
As writers of faith we share what we see and understand however, as we develop greater knowledge we perfect our understanding. Christian writers are not perfect but we write perfectly if we are lead by the Spirit of God. I pray: As a person who considers himelf / herself a Christian writer that, you will write words that please Him.
I would rather write a million words that are pleasing to my Heavenly Father than one hundred words that will earn me a million dollars because it is pleasing to the world.
