Day 13: NaNoWriMo – Faith Writing

I don’t normally write on Sunday, however as I write my thoughts on writing during National Novel Writing Month even thought I don’t have anything to write about, I am developing a plan for future writing projects. As I mentioned before I am posting my daily journal entries but I am not posting, on my blog everything.
I started an article last week and I have added to it almost daily, it is not recommended that you edit your writing during NaNoWriMo because even lousy words count My afternoon / evening writings are primarily blog post. These potential blog post are so long that they could possibly be mini-books.
As I develop a better understanding of the word of God I have developed a passion to teach women, Black women in particular. any Mwomen do not live in the order God has established.

1 Corinthians 11:3 (KJV)
But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is God.

The idea of a man being head of her is offensive to some women. The problem is not that women are submitted to their husbands but that there are men who abuse their wives. The world has determined that women should be treated equal to a man, some Christians embrace this idea. I do not have a problem with submitting to my husband if he is a man who is submitted to Jesus.

I was convinced that we, women, were totally out of order when I read 1 Corinthians 11:3-5. I realized that I had to play a role in helping women understand what it means to be a woman of God when I read Titus 2:3-5.

Titus 2:3-5 (KJV)
3 The aged women likewise, that they be in behaviour as becometh holiness, not false accusers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things;
4 That they may teach the young women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children,
5 To be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed.

I have been attempting to be an example to some but not perfectly. I have made adjustments to my life in the past few months and continue to make improvements. My gift is writing, a scribe, I can and will write what it means to be a Titus 2 woman from a laywoman’s perspective.
I am glad that I did not pursue a church title, it would disqualify me from writing. I have taken a lot of classes that train me for ministry but I am dependent on the Spirit of God to teach me. It is my belief that women are influencers and not leaders; we are called to support, help, our husbands. I have a YouTube channel in which I have shared my thoughts on womanhood, the experience has convinced me that my gifting is in writing.
I was fasting as part of the Ministry Training and Development class that I was taking. It was during that fast that God told me I was to write. The Scripture that He placed on my heart was Habakkuk 2:2.
Habakkuk 2:2 (KJV)
2 And the LORD answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it.

That was over 25 years ago. Back then I did not know exactly what I was going to write but now I do. My name is Marsha and I am a Biblical Scribe, a faith based writer,

I am an active participant of National Novel Writing Month- these entries are unedited on purpose- Marsha L Floyd
