DAY 23- NOT WRITING : Can you see it?

I thought about writing yesterday but I was busy grocery shopping. I traveled with a notepad and made a few notes and I spent time thinking about writing. I think it is better to visualize your manuscript before you start writing. Habakkuk 2:2 comes to mind again.

Habakkuk 2:2-3 (KJV)
2 And the LORD answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it.
3 For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.

Amazing! The more I write the more real those verses become to me. It was one of the first verses the Spirit of God revealed to me when I was praying and fasting about my purpose.

Psalm 45:1 (KJV)
1 My heart is inditing a good matter: I speak of the things which I have made touching the king: my tongue is the pen of a ready writer.

Psalm 45 verse one was another verse that came to me, I wasn’t fasting then just praying. I never wanted to speak back then. I did teach Bible Study, Sunday School, and Sabbath School; different titles for the same thing- small group Bible teaching. A few years ago the Spirit of God had me start a YouTube channel. I stopped doing videos in September of this year. I do love teaching the word but I do prefer writing.

I do both better when I can ‘see’ the message. For example: I write about modest dressing quite a bit. When I see a woman dressed in revealing clothing I become aware of her need for attention and her lack of self confidence. Because I see her motivation for wearing those garments I can write about how dressing modestly can help with your believing in yourself. There are advantages to dressing modestly.

Today I spent cooking, tomorrow is Thanksgiving and more cooking, I am tired but I will do some writing.

I am an active participant of National Novel Writing Month- these entries are unedited on purpose- Marsha L Floyd
