BORN TO DIE

Acts 1:7-9 (KJV)
7 And he said unto them, It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in his own power.
8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.
9 And when he had spoken these things, while they beheld, he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight.

Next week we, Christians, will celebrate the birth of our Lord and Savior, Jesus the Son of God. I believe that He came to this earth as a baby, he did not remain an infant, to be part of the lineage of David, the son of man,lived a righteous life and died a horrible death, and fulfilled prophecy.

Romans 10:8-11 (KJV)
8 But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach;
9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
11 For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.

It is true we do not know the actual day the Son of God became the son of man. What we do know is He was born; no faith denies the existence of Jesus. Christmas has been celebrated on December 25th during the 4th century during the time of Roman Emperor Constantine, around 336. I have chosen to remember to accept that date and celebrate with decorations and giving gifts.

Many people believe Jesus existed they even believe He was crucified. Some people reject the virgin birth and as time progresses there is a growing number of people who deny the resurrection of the Son of God. Why do these people celebrate?
Is it just a holiday to you? The Son of God was born, we use December 25th as his date of birth. For me and other Christians December 25th is not just a Happy Holiday but a day of merriment as we recognize Christmas: the mass of Christ. December 25th is a day of celebration, a festival in which we celebrate the birth of Christ even though it is not the day of His birth.
Yeshuah, Jesus, was born to die and He is coming back. Merry Christmas.
