THOUGHTS OF MARSHA- YES, I SAID IT!

I can tell what type of church people on Facebook attend by these two words: “Don’t judge.” Quite a few Christians think that we should not judge other people. For example, I recently posted the following on Facebook: “There are a lot of regular church attending, tithes and offering giving, “Christians” who are on their way to hell.” A commenter stated, it was not for me to say. Really?

Matthew 7:1-2 (KJV)
1 Judge not, that ye be not judged.
2 For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again.

The Bible states: Don’t judge so that you will not be judged. Because, the same way, measure, you judge is how you will be judged. If I am willing to have the same standard used against me, then so be it. Now this is what Jesus said:

Matthew 7:21-23 (KJV)
21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

Jesus is warning us, not everyone who identifies as a Christian will get into heaven which means they are going to hell.

In my Facebook post I did not name names I just pointed out that paying tithes, giving offerings and going to church is not a guarantee that you will make it into heaven. Is that judgement? If my post provokes a person to evaluate his or her personal relationship with God and they find themselves lacking then that is a good thing.

There are those who are also offended when others point out that abortion and homosexuality is a sin. These individuals think that we should mind our business- let those people go to hell.

2 Peter 3:9 (KJV)
9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

1 Timothy 2:3-4 (KJV)
3 For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour;
4 Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.

It is sad today that churches are not teaching the principles of discipleship or evangelism. Self gratification and personal motivation is all that many are seeking but, this is not the will of the Father.

I will continue to point out to people that we are not saved by works.

Ephesians 2:8-9 (KJV)
8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.
