I got off the Trump train years ago, thanks to the die-hard Trump supporters and my continued growth in faith. In October of 2023 I wrote a blog post on one of my other blogs entitled: “In Search of A Trump Alternative”. At that time I was intrigued by Vivek Rammaswammy but doubted he had a chance. Who becomes the Republican nominee, which looks like it will be Donald J Trump, is irrelevant to me since I am of no, NO, political affiliation. However, I will have to vote eventually and I am still not enthusiastic about Trump.
I was listening to Vivek (pronounced Vi-vake) and I realized I like how he has been carrying himself and I like what he is saying.
Why do I still not want to support Trump? He is not America’s savior. I suspected that the last election was stolen from the former President and after months, if not years and the excessive attacks I am convinced that it was but, that does not mean he gets an automatic win. Despite having won an election before and a record of success, I do not think his name calling, aka bullying verbiage, is necessary; yet, he continues to do so. Recently, it was reported that he attacked Vivek, a man who has spoke well of him through out the campaign and has not responded in kind. As I mentioned in the other post, his position on abortion (6 weeks is OK) is something I cannot ignore. And, at this point his weight and age are now playing a factor. Finally, I would support a Trump -Rammaswammy ticket but I know that could not happen because Vivek is to smart for Trump; unlike his sons and most of the men that he associates with, there is no way Vivek could stay in a corner.
Donald J Trump’s temperament, aka ego, cannot handle being around individuals who have such domineering personalities as Elon Musk or Vivek Rammaswammy. Notice how Dr Carson maintained a low profile while serving under Trump? Trump did not attack him when he was running for President either. That is because he has a confident and humble personality. There is nothing Trump could say to him or about this very accomplished man, he did his time and went back to his world. Mike Pence tried to undermine Trump but he was silenced because Pence, in my opinion, lacks humility, he thinks he is morally superior to Trump. Like Carson Rammaswammy is confident, intelligent, humble, and not an adulterer, both men have strong faith values.
Anyway, I wiil enthusiasticly vote for Vivek if he is the Republican nominee for President, I will support a Trump- Rammaswammy ticket if there is one. However, if Trump adds a woman or a Black person to his ticket I may vote for Kennedy. This is America and I get to vote the way I want.
Again: Donald J Trump is not America’s Savior; God bless America.
