2 Timothy 3:14-17 (KJV)
14 But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them;
15 And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.
16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
17 That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.

I cannot deny who I am; I am a believer in Scripture, YWHW’s word. There has always been a part of me that has believed in Him but other people didn’t believe what I believed. As a child I tried to learn what they were being taught, in a Baptist church of course, but I forgot those lessons. I did not receive my first Bible until I joined Oakland Mills Church of God and was gifted a New Testament Living Bible as a gift, I was also baptized by the Pastor, Marc Farmer. My life journey lead me to Victory Christian Church International with Pastor Dwain Brewington where I learned how to study the word of God, as well as principles of fasting and praying. Both of these Pastors have graduated from earth to eternity but as for me they will never be forgotten.

Second Timothy chapter three verses 14-17 speak of the importance of Scripture, all of it. I used to be one of those people who scanned the verses looking for everything that fit my personal agenda, not anymore. Because there have been other church leaders, Pastors, that challenged me by sharing the word of God. Pastor Barry Marshal, I took a class he taught and I was forced to really study; I got an A on m term paper! Myrtis Olique (Pastor) her Bible teachings caused me to take lots of notes and read the word for myself; it was while I was apart of her church that I realized women should not be church leaders. Pastor Winston Williams and his wife the assistant Pastor helped me understand what the prophetic ministry was and what it was not; though they did it inadvertently. There was another husband wife duo whose church I was a part of, I can’t remember their names or the name of the church; if I think about it I could remember but I don’t want to. Pastor Barry is teaching in the prisons, something he has done for years and Myrtis has an online teaching ministry, she doesn’t go by “Pastor” much though some people refer to her as. Pastor Williams ministry has gone from full service to to big a place to a small church, his wife graduated from earth to eternity. And the couple with the church I cannot remember closed the location I attended shortly after I left. The individuals who pursued purpose and not dollars are still doing the work of the Lord and their influence on me is producing good fruit. I am not perfect but I am being perfected, as it is write: “That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.“

Reason number one as to why I believe is: The word of God works.
