1 Samuel 12:14-15 (KJV)
14 If ye will fear the LORD, and serve him, and obey his voice, and not rebel against the commandment of the LORD, then shall both ye and also the king that reigneth over you continue following the LORD your God:
15 But if ye will not obey the voice of the LORD, but rebel against the commandment of the LORD, then shall the hand of the LORD be against you, as it was against your fathers.
This is Part 2 of the post: NO FEAR (08/19/2024) which was based on the above mentioned Bible verses. I often, in my time in the word of God, find myself hovering over verses or words, this is one of those times. There is an acronym many Believers use: F.E.A.R., which represents the words False Evidence Appearing Real; the nature of fear is false eviddence- lies or the manipulation of truth.
I defined fear in my previous post as: to “reverence” Him; it is the utmost respect”; it is not “Him”, our Lord and Saviour, but someone or something else that people fear. Consider the reaction of the world during the COVID pandemic, people gave credence to the virus, the evidence presented was false. (I believe facts were manipulated.) Even today, I see individuals walking around with mask on and a few individuals driving in their car, alone. Fear is a tool of the devil.
John 8:42-44 (KJV)
42 Jesus said unto them, If God were your Father, ye would love me: for I proceeded forth and came from God; neither came I of myself, but he sent me.
43 Why do ye not understand my speech? even because ye cannot hear my word.
44 Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.
It is easier fom people to believe the lies that are spoken today. It is easier to listen to the government mandates and media opinions presented as news. Reading, researching and applying the knowledge developed is difficult for those who do not want to deal with the consequences of not going along wilt the masses; it is a fear of rejection.
Jesus asked; Why? Verse 44 declares you are not a Christian: “Ye are of your father the devil,” How many of you would disagree? It is incredulous that a person who actually hears the word of God would submit to the world. A person who has accepted Jesus as Lord of his or her life yields himself to Him and not them. Those who fear man give more validity to popular opinion don’t fear God. Martyrs fear God, church leaders that kept their churches open during the pandemic fear God, people who refuse to call a DNA male a female fear God; people who don’t support abortion fear God; there are many more examples.
Christians who don’t obey, listen to, God’s voice are rebellious- 1 Samuel 14:14-15. The consequences of not listening to the Lord: “then shall the hand of the LORD be against you.” This word is very serious!
I believe: To obey the Lord is to listen to Him as He speaks through His word. B.I.B.L.E. is another acronym used by Christians it stands for: Basic Instructions Before Leaving Earth. God does not compromise, people will give you alternative interpretations to what the Bible says. There is only one way to hear and interpret the Word of God and that is as it is written.
