TITUS 2:3 UNDERSTANDING GOD’S WILL

The aged women likewise, that they be in behaviour as becometh holiness, not false accusers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things; Titus 2:3 (KJV)

There are many pivitol moments in my life the day that I read the above verse, for the upteenth time was one of them was one of them. It is the same reaction that I had when I read Habakkuk 2:2 and Matthew 6:33.

Habakkuk 2:2 (KJV)
2 And the LORD answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it.
Matthew 6:33 (KJV)
33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

My reception of Habakkuk was during a time when I was taking Bible classes: the receiving of Matthew came during a time of reading the word and prayer. My personalizing these two verse came at various times decades ago. My ability to apply Titus to my life came while I was reading my Bible and asked Father God: Where are the older women in my life? He said: “You are the older women.” I am she and to the sisters who are reading this post, chances are you are the older woman.
A women who are the daughters of God the Father, we are to be examples to others. Unfortunately, older women of God are behaving like the women of the world. God is not pleased.

I am learning to do things God’s way, not man’s. From 1996 to 2024 I have been learning what that means, I am still learning. I spent quite a few years unlearning many of the doctrines of man, including the what the woman’s roll was. And then, I began learning how resistant women were to the Word of God. I have discovered women I know tolerate me because of my views, they don’t disagree with me but they do not agree eithr.

Titus 2:3-5 (KJV)
3 The aged women likewise, that they be in behaviour as becometh holiness, not false accusers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things;
4 That they may teach the young women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children,
5 To be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed.

Modern day women, feminist, don’t believe in submission or being a homemaker/ housewife. Women today want what men have and men are giving it to them. Churches are elevating women and ignoring the roll women play in the home; after all, there is daycare and carry-out meals. Because off the change in godly homes children are out of order, lacking the peace that comes from being taught God’s way (Isaiah 54:13).

This Blog is focused on sharing God’s word to Christian women. Though pigment is not a qualification for someone to be a sister-in-Christ I do from time to time focus on Black women, because I have been influenced by that culture. I do not have the authority to tel anyone what to believe nor do I want to. I am “called” to write as a prophetic scribe, I do not take this position lightly, knowing that I will be held accountable for my words but I cannot act like it does not exist. My goal is to help women see that God’s way is better than the world’s way, I understand many will not accept what I have to say.

Women of God, Christian females, need to be sober, love their husbands or maintain a celibate single life, love their children, be discreet and maintain a healthy household. In addition women need to behave with decorum; this includes dressing modestly and not being loud and wrong. There are such women but the loud, authoritative and/ or scandalously clothed women are more noticeable and they do not represent the kingdom of God.

Proverbs 7:4-12 (KJV)
4 Say unto wisdom, Thou art my sister; and call understanding thy kinswoman:
5 That they may keep thee from the strange woman, from the stranger which flattereth with her words.
6 For at the window of my house I looked through my casement,
7 And beheld among the simple ones, I discerned among the youths, a young man void of understanding,
8 Passing through the street near her corner; and he went the way to her house,
9 In the twilight, in the evening, in the black and dark night:
10 And, behold, there met him a woman with the attire of an harlot, and subtil of heart.
11 (She is loud and stubborn; her feet abide not in her house:
12 Now is she without, now in the streets, and lieth in wait at every corner.)

Scripture has a lot to say about the behavior of women. I see this today:

Isaiah 4:1 (KJV)
1 And in that day seven women shall take hold of one man, saying, We will eat our own bread, and wear our own apparel: only let us be called by thy name, to take away our reproach.
