EMBRACING HISTORY

  • I am not looking for 40 acres and a mule.
  • I am not angry at “the white man” because once upon a time my “people” were slaves.
  • I don’t hate the Democrats or the Republicans
  • I don’t believe in systemic racism.
  • And I don’t mind, am not offended, by those who told me I no longer have a “Black Carrd

I am a child of God. When I look back to rehearse my history I look at the gifts that were passed on from generation to generation until we reached a group of individuals who want to reject the gifts that God gave us.

Proverbs 31:24 (KJV)
24 She maketh fine linen, and selleth it; and delivereth girdles unto the merchant.

Yes, quilting is part of our history. Every culture has some form of quilting associated with it. Quilts tell a story especially those made in the past.

I love making stuff but there are not to many, there are a few, Black American females who enjoy domestic not for profit but cost a lot of money to do, activities. I get most of my tips from non-Black women.
