PARENTING: CHILDREN SHOULD BE A PRIORITY

As I watched the video below I thought: “Pro-abortion thinkers would use this example for reasons to abort babies”; it should be a reason for abstinence. It is sad that liberalism has determined it is more important to teach young people on how to have sexual relations than how not to.
In the following video you will see a child wandering around an apartment complex. Where are his parents? Father unknown. Mother is having a wanted, not needed, medical procedure.
It is stories like this that make me angry! I am not angry at the mother or even the father but at the churches, the American church to be specific (I don’t know what goes on in other countries).

1 John 2:15-16 (KJV)
15 Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.
16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.

There are far to many churches that have programs that take care of their own but not those who may even be on the same block as their building. These churches go on missions trip all over the world but cannot help the single parent household (there are father’s who are single parents too!).
I learned from a woman who runs a pro-live clinic that she has had to council Pastor’s wives who originally wanted to abort her baby because the child was not her husband’s child! At the time I was part of a large church, over 4,000 members, and she wanted to speak to the youth, it was not allowed. Heartbeat of Miami Pregnancy Health Clinic, Martha Avila -founder, tries to go into large churches because statistically there are a large number of young people who are sexually active or abused even in the church. It was Martha Avila herself who spoke to me many years ago and it was my churches rejection of allowing her to come and speak to the youth that became another reason why I could not longer serve or give there.
At the time, somewhere between 2000 – 2015 (?), I was the leader of a trained team of individuals, the “ministry” (I don’t like using that term) was called: Congregational Care Team. Our purpose was to serve various members of the community and the church with needs other agencies may have missed. Because we were trained by Baptist Hospital’s Pastoral team I was contacted by a group who wanted to speak to the men, apparently there are many men who are bi-sexual and their wives don’t know it! The organization wanted to speak to the men and arrange confidential testing of STD’s; something else the church vetoed.
To be fair, I reported to my small group leader who spoke to the Senior Pastor. I do not know if the Pastor actually knew of these offers BUT when I presented these opportunities to the Assistant Pastor, my small group leader, (Yes, my team was identified as a “small group”) I was told the Senior Pastor would not approve.
The church provided coffee and donuts, games, Halloween alternatives and other fun things. The church went on mission trips to at least 3 different countries annually but they did nothing for the homeless people across the street.

Matthew 25:43-44 (KJV)
43 I was a stranger, and ye took me not in: naked, and ye clothed me not: sick, and in prison, and ye visited me not.
44 Then shall they also answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, or athirst, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister unto thee?

This young, ignorant, girl thought her child would be OK. The good news is, the community stepped in. Dear Mega-churches you are so big you are failing the very people God wants you to clothe. – Marsha L Floyd
