In my job I have encountered a lot of elderly individuals who have been neglected or just ignored by family members. After I finish this post I will be going to visit my great uncle and great aunt, not because there are not family members that check on them but because I wanted to pay my respects to them on this side of eternity. The people I encounter on my job as a tax preparer need help and I am it but I am on the phone and the individual on the other end of the line, trying to do his or her tax return, does not know how to navigate the computer.
My great uncle is 102 his sister is 95 they are in their right mind but slower and the family has taken it upon themselves to make sure they can live independently as long as possible. It is the little things that they need help with. Things that could lead to a fall, like picking up a piece of trash, going up and down steps, mopping floors and also cooking so they can eat.
If the lady in this video was a family member of mine I would be embarrassed. Visiting the elderly takes a lot of patience and it may be inconvenient, today is my day off and I have a lot of things that need to be done, but it is important. I don’t care what bad memories you have of that person he or she is still a child of God and they deserve to be honored.
Note: In this video an account has been established for this woman that the family cannot touch. Strangers will be blessed by God, I believe, because they looked out for her. (Matthew 25:31-46)
Matthew 25:45 (KJV)
45 Then shall he answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to me.
