SCRIPTURE WRITING

For me, Scripture writing is a learning activity, like reading the Bible, it helps me develop understanding of the ways of God. As I write word for word; adding commas, semi-colons, colons, question marks and periods; verse by verse, chapter by chapter, book by book, I am able to apply God’s teachings to my life. In addition, as I write I see things that I did not see when I read or listened to the Bible. Scripture is not about me but God and His will for man thus when I write I am more sensitive to His Holy presence.

Jeremiah 30:,2 31:33, 36:28 (KJV)
2 Thus speaketh the LORD God of Israel, saying, Write thee all the words that I have spoken unto thee in a book.
33 But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the LORD, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people.
28 Take thee again another roll, and write in it all the former words that were in the first roll, which Jehoiakim the king of Judah hath burned.

I am not the only one who writes the Word of God, there are YouTube channels and Facebook groups that discuss this lifestyle. We are modern day Scribes.
What is a Scribe? According to my writing program dictionary it si: “informal terms for journalists; someone employed to make written copies of documents and manuscripts;” According to Google Ai:

“In the Bible, a scribe was a learned professional who copied, studied, and interpreted the law. They were important for preserving scripture by meticulously copying texts, and their duties also included writing legal documents and keeping official records. In the New Testament, scribes were also teachers and interpreters of the Law, though some became associated with legalism, which led to conflict with Jesus”

Being a Scribe is more than just copying words. One individual, who recently completed the entire Bible said it took him a little over 8 years! In my Facebook group we celebrate when someone completes a book, encourages when a copying error occurs and have discussions on the type of paper, pens and even writing environment we have as we go through the process.
If you have been reading my post for years, you may recall my writing about being a Prophetic Scribe, I am not surprised that I am at this junction of my life journey, I have grown emotionally and in knowledge of the word.

Habakkuk 2:1-3 (KJV)
1 I will stand upon my watch, and set me upon the tower, and will watch to see what he will say unto me, and what I shall answer when I am reproved.
2 And the LORD answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it.
3 For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.

For many Scripture writing is part of a Bible study, for other’s it is part of a legacy to be left to future generations, for me Scripture Writing is part of my desire to share the Word of God. In writing
