IN LOVING MEMEORY
I have thought, probably more than most, about the purpose of funeral services. I have attended a funeral that was over four hours long and a memorial service that was less than an hour and the guest went to the home of the deceased where they celebrated his life by eating steak and drinking wine, his favorite.
The four hour funeral was full of pomp and circumstances, including a horse drawn carriage. The attendees at the deceased memorial service business casual viewing a picture of him positioned in front of his cremated body. It is my opinion that the individuals who were part of the latter service remember him more fondly than those of the elaborate one.
Funerals are for the living the deceased is deceased, he or she is in eternity.
I am sharing two videos from YouTube, post funeral. It reveals what happens to SOME after the funeral. To be fair, slaves and poor people struggle to burry their loved ones, two or three generations later no one knows who the deceased is therefore burial plots can be neglected.
Who cares for the neglected seminaries? This is the question I present today. Side note: I do believe both are places where Black people are buried.
Please like and share the video, even if you don’t watch all of it! These guys do this for FREE!
