EMBARRASSED

Psalm 139:13-16 (KJV)
13 For thou hast possessed my reins: thou hast covered me in my mother’s womb.
14 I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.
15 My substance was not hid from thee, when I was made in secret, and curiously wrought in the lowest parts of the earth.
16 Thine eyes did see my substance, yet being unperfect; and in thy book all my members were written, which in continuance were fashioned, when as yet there was none of them.

Once upon a time I went along to get along, I may not have participated but I was a witness, a silent witness, to quite a bit of inappropriate behavior. I was in my late 30’s when a Pastor, Dr. Kitt, shared Psalm 139:14 with me during a one on one meeting. She planted a seed that would take fifteen years to take root and start growing. I was embarrassed to be me.
Most women are proud to declare who they are, that is not who they really are but who they want people to believe they are. I believe women speak loudly to speak over that inner voice that is speaking to them. I believe most women want to be the woman God has called them to be: a wife and a mother.
The entertainment world, to many educational systems, the various media outlets as well as the church challenge women to be all that they can be in the world, what is not promoted is motherhood. If women did not want to be a wife and mother they would not be angry when a relationship ended.
The world told women they should seek titles and make money; God said He would supply all that she needed (Philippians 4:19). We, women, embraced the things of the world because that is all we know, in the beginning.

Proverbs 4:4-8 (KJV)
4 He taught me also, and said unto me, Let thine heart retain my words: keep my commandments, and live.
5 Get wisdom, get understanding: forget it not; neither decline from the words of my mouth.
6 Forsake her not, and she shall preserve thee: love her, and she shall keep thee.
7 Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding.
8 Exalt her, and she shall promote thee: she shall bring thee to honour, when thou dost embrace her.

I outgrew my embarrassment as I yielded to the will of God. The more I grew in understanding of the Word of God the less I focused on the priorities of the world. The only person I need to hear me is my heavenly Father, He hears me when I don’t speak. Because my trust is in Him I don’t worry about the opinions of them.

James 1:2-4 (KJV)
2 My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations;
3 Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience.
4 But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.

It takes time, not clothes, make up or surgery, to become the woman God wants you to be. It takes faith in the teachings of Jesus, God manifested in the flesh. The world will challenge you, discourage you, talk about you and even “Christian” leaders will tell you that the Bible does not mean what it says. The world cannot get you into heaven or keep you out of hell, both are very real places.
No need to be ashamed of your faith, no need to be embarrassed. Don’t be embarrassed to change your ways and live as Father God called you to be.Develop godly confidence even if the crowd is going in a different direction.

Isaiah 26:3-4 (KJV)
3 Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.
4 Trust ye in the LORD for ever: for in the LORD JEHOVAH is everlasting strength:
